  • Home security???????????????

I want to install security cameras on my property but not sure which ones I need to get.

The cameras will be mounted 150 feet away from the house… so do I need wireless? But how would I power the camera???

Maybe I need to get wireless and solar?

i do this for a living and what we do in a situation like yours is dig a six inch deep trench from your home to the location and use direct bury cable housed in pvc and then fill up the trenches again. if you dig the trench yourself, it will be less money. pvc is relatively inexpensive. the only setback is at that distance from the power supply to the camera, the resolution of the image could be compromised.

I would suggest wireless and solar.

My own opinion would be to chat to them at the supply shop to see what they recommend, with what is in stock, and is available.

use batteries and wind generator and assemble them so high that thieves cant get them, as they are a bit valuable pieces themselves

How involved do you want to get? There are a lot of boxed and component type camera systems out there.
