Depending on the materials and tools available at home, there are several alternative methods you can choose from. Here are 5 ways to clean paint stains on the floor.

Using Paint Remover

Have you ever heard of paint remover? Paint remover is a special chemical liquid to clean paint from the surface of the material. The types vary depending on the level of aggressiveness. To clean paint stains from floors, you should choose a paint stripper with a low level of aggressiveness so as not to damage the ceramic glaze.

Before starting work, make sure the vents and windows are open to facilitate air circulation. This is done so that the steam from the paint stripper immediately comes out of the room. Next, wear rubber gloves to prevent your skin from spilling out of the paint stripper. After that, brush the stripper on the floor. Then let stand for 2-3 minutes. Remove the paint with a knife slowly. Then with a damp cloth, clean the floor from the remaining paint and paint stripper.

Using thinner

Before starting to use thinner, remember to make sure the room has good air circulation. This is to prevent vapors from the thinner from settling in the room. After that, use a rag or cloth to apply the thinner to the floor stained with paint. Then clean the area gently so that the paint stain doesn’t spread. Clean the floor with clean water or use deodorizer to remove thinner and odors from the room. Use a fan to help facilitate air exchange in the room.

Using Putty Knife

Putty Knife is a tool that is shaped like a spatula and is sold in paint shops. It’s easy. Hold the grip of the cloth at a 45 degree angle and rub it over the stained area. Do not press too hard so as not to scratch the ceramic glaze. Then clean the remains of dust with an ordinary mop.

Using sandpaper

The next way is to use sandpaper. First, give water first to the paint stain on the floor. The point is for the paint stain to soften a little. Then rub gently with sandpaper. We recommend that you use sandpaper with a fine grade so as not to damage the floor.

Using a Toothbrush

The tools you will need for this method are available in your home. First use a lightly dampened cloth to scrub the ceramic floor. Then use a dry cloth to scrub the tile floor until a little paint is left. After that, use a toothbrush to clean the paint thoroughly. Clean the dust with a dry cloth.
